Director Anand L Rai has officially announced his new film, "Tere Ishq Mein," creating a buzz in the Bollywood industry. Reports have recently surfaced that actress Triptii Dimri has been cast as the female lead opposite Dhanush in this much-anticipated movie. The film is considered a sequel to the 2013 hit "Raanjhanaa," and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
"Tere Ishq Mein" is expected to captivate audiences with a complex storyline filled with romance and varied emotions. The film will explore themes of love and rage, set in a world similar to "Raanjhanaa." Triptii Dimri has been assigned an emotionally demanding role, playing opposite Dhanush's character, an angry young man. The shooting is scheduled to start in October this year, primarily in Varanasi and other parts of Uttar Pradesh.
The initial announcement of "Tere Ishq Mein" in June 2023 generated significant excitement. "Raanjhanaa," starring Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor, was a critical and commercial success, praised for its poignant storytelling, powerful performances, and memorable soundtrack.
Given the enduring popularity of "Raanjhanaa," the announcement of its sequel has naturally stirred high expectations among fans and critics alike. Anand L Rai and Dhanush have previously collaborated on two successful films, "Raanjhanaa" (2013) and "Atrangi Re" (2021).
Triptii Dimri, who gained immense recognition after her role in the Ranbir Kapoor-fronted film "Animal," is on a roll with multiple projects lined up. Her small role in the blockbuster "Animal" has made her a sought-after actress in Bollywood.
Triptii is currently gearing up for the release of Dharma Productions' "Bad Newz" on July 19, followed by "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video" on October 11, and the highly-awaited "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" set for a Diwali 2024 release. Additionally, she will star in "Dhadak 2" on November 22 and a romantic film opposite Kartik Aaryan, directed by Anurag Basu.
Meanwhile, Dhanush is preparing for the release of his second directorial venture, "Raayan," in which he also plays the lead role. Scheduled for release on July 26, Dhanush also has another project lined up, "Kubera," directed by Sekhar Kammula, and starring Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna in prominent roles.
