This show to REPLACE 'Naagin 2' on Colors?

Balaji Telefilms' Naagin franchise has been a winner since day one. The first season of the show titled 'Naagin' went on to consistently top the TRP charts, even going on to attain 6 TRP points, which is a rare feat in recent times.

Fast forward to current scenario, 'Naagin 2' continues to be unbeatable on the rating charts and has been the same since it went on-air in October. We may not be witnessing any change in this till the show goes off-air.

Yes. You read that right. Following the format of presenting seasons, 'Naagin 2' will be going off air in the month of June.

And Ekta Kapoor is all set to repeat history as none other than her ambitious project, 'Chandrakanta' will be the one replacing 'Naagin 2' just like last year when Eka's 'Kavach - Kaali Shaktiyon Se' replaced 'Naagin.'

'Chandrakanta' is already in works, where actress, Madhurima Tuli will be playing the titular role.

Well, Naagin fans should not get disheartened, as the makers are already in talks and a season 3 for Naagin is in the pipeline with new faces being considered this time. Sources also mentioned that Naagin 3 will return to the screens around November 2017.

But if Naagin 3 is all set to be launching in November, what will be the fate of Chandrakanta? Will the show's slot be shifted or will 'Chandrakanta' be a finite series?

Well, now all's in Ekta Kapoor's hands and time till be he answer to these questions.

It will be really hard for me to think of naagin 3 without mouni roy and adaa khan... I just cant imagine anyone else in those iconic roles... And i dont think that they will replace mouni and adaa khan with new faces because according to current track, shesha's gonna turn into a stone, so that in next season, she will be revived back to life by some means and then she will continue in the story... Talking about mouni, IF posted an article that mouni roy is going to do a "finite" web series with ekta kapoor... So as the shooting for web series ends, she will come back for naagin 3...

Anyways, chandrakanta's gonna surely top the trp charts in its initial weeks since its replacing naagin... Later week's trps depend upon its story and execution... If it turns out good, then it will remain a trp topper but if not, we all know what happened to kavach

I am glad to here that Naagin is coming back with Season 3 with new cast to bring freshness. Chandrakanta will definitely be a finite series as Weekend shows are always finite and the story of Chandrakanta can't be dragged beyond the limit. 6 Months will be enough. Yes Madhurima Tuli is playing Chandrakanta even though I feel Krystal D'souza or Hina Khan would fit the role perfectly. What will happen to Devanand now? Even that is a finite show so will it air on weekdays now?

I am glad that S3 is going to be with a new cast...its time mouni-adaa to break their naagin image and do other roles...they are the best Naagins...no doubt...but S3 needs freshness not same old repeated cast of S1/S2...same storyline n plot...maybe with fresh cast...S3 might not work like S1/S2 in trps chart but with a strong script and strong supernatural elements with fresh story...it might work perfectly on trps charts

love Mouni Roy. if Naagin Season 3 its becoming true, without Mouni Roy and the team Naagin season 3 will be FLOP...lol...im not sure, chandrakanta replaced Naagin Season 2 cause Colors TV have another Finite series is DEVAANAND...and DEVAANAND reporting will be replaced Naagin Season 2 before.

yup, Madhurima Tuli is final to playing as Chandrakanta..Tellychakkar and Times of India reporting same too.

Is Madhurima finalised for sure? Cant rely on TB articles. They initially claimed Ankita Lokhande has been finalised and before that it was Nia Sharma. One advise to TB - don't publish speculations as confirmations
