The Sabarmati Report has made above Rs four crores so far at the box office. Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna’s film has got a good response from people. The Sabarmati Report is a movie based on the Godhra tragedy. The film is about an underdog journalist who exposes the real truths behind the massacre that happened at Godhra. While it deals with a horrific chapter of Indian history, the makers have maintained a balance. People who have seen the movie have praised the story, crisp narration and performances. Vikrant Massey plays the role of Samar Kumar, a vernacular journalist who suffers as he knows too much about the case.
PM Narendra Modi praised the film on his social media handle on X. He wrote, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!” We know that Narendra Modi was the CM of Gujarat when the riots happened in 2002. There was heavy criticism of the state machinery. However, he retained his seat and occupied an even more prominent place in Indian politics.
