Tahira Kashyap moves to tears as Sharmajee Ki Beti Scores 7 Nominations; says, "I wrote this in 2017"

Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, the talented filmmaker, experienced an emotional moment on Thursday when her debut film, Sharmajee Ki Beti, received seven nominations at a prestigious awards show. She shared her feelings on Instagram, reflecting on the dedication and effort that went into creating the film.

In a heartfelt post featuring a photo of her teary-eyed smile, Tahira expressed, "A few hours ago, while I was at the gym, I found out that Sharmajee Ki Beti, my first feature film, has been nominated in several categories. After a rain, the gym feels like the best place to hide my tears. But I'm not hiding them anymore because these are tears of gratitude. It’s okay to be vulnerable, I guess!"

She continued, "I'm sharing this part of my journey because anyone following me here has witnessed my years of effort to create this film. I started writing this in 2017 and have been striving to bring it to life ever since. I believe the universe has its own way of rewarding us! One nomination for each year we worked on this film, and here we are with 7 NOMINATIONS!!"

The film features Saiyami Kher, Sakshi Tanwar, and Divya Dutta in leading roles. It explores the lives of three women from a modern middle-class background, each facing unique challenges while sharing the common surname, Sharma.

Released on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year, Sharmajee Ki Beti received praise from critics for its engaging storyline and the outstanding performances of its cast.
