Tabu recently voiced her frustration about the constant questions on pay parity in the film industry, specifically targeting female stars. While promoting her new film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, she expressed her irritation over why only female actors are questioned about their salaries.

In an interview with We Are Yuvaa, Tabu shared her thoughts on the subject. She pointed out that media and journalists often ask female actors about the disparity in pay between men and women. “Every media person will ask a female about pay parity,” she said. “You know a man is paid more, and you are paid less. So why are you asking me? Why don't you ask the person who is paying them more? How am I supposed to answer this question?”

Tabu highlighted that these questions often aim to sensationalize the issue. She noted that she could either express frustration about being paid less or say she is fine with her salary. She argued that instead of focusing solely on female actors, the media should also question the male actors and those who determine their salaries. “Why don't you ask the male actor why he is getting paid more?” she asked.

Tabu also touched on the broader implications of beauty and physicality in the film industry. She suggested that these aspects are often viewed through an external lens, which can be more intriguing when looking from the outside in. She emphasized that the conversation about compensation should be more inclusive and address the factors affecting all actors.
