Taapsee Pannu on her relationship with media

Taapsee Pannu recently opened up about her contentious relationship with the paparazzi in an interview with Fever FM. Known for her forthright opinions, Taapsee addressed the frequent criticism she faces for her interactions with the media, often labeled as rude or dismissive. The actress emphasized that her priority is to maintain a respectful distance and privacy, something she feels the paparazzi often overlook.

Taapsee explained her perspective, highlighting the tendency of the paparazzi to sensationalize negative news for clicks and views. "Positive news hardly grabs attention," she remarked, pointing out the media's focus on controversies to drive traffic to their platforms. "It's more exciting for the audience when they see headlines like 'She's being nasty and rude to paparazzi,'" she added, expressing frustration over being misrepresented for the sake of sensationalism.

The actress made it clear that she doesn't feel the need to appease this segment of the media. "My work speaks for itself," she asserted, distancing herself from the need for media validation through sensational stories.

Taapsee criticized the practice of using misleading headlines or videos, describing it as a strategy to garner clicks rather than genuine journalism. She voiced her concern over the intrusion into her personal space, recounting instances where photographers have come too close or aggressively pursued her, making her feel uncomfortable.

Taapsee also touched upon the issue of her being made to feel apologetic for her public status and privilege. She stressed that she is just like any other woman who deserves respect for her privacy and personal boundaries. On a lighter note, Taapsee is currently enjoying a break in Paris, where she is supporting her husband, Mathias Boe, who is coaching India's men's badminton doubles team at the Paris Olympics.

She is also gearing up for her upcoming films, "Phir Haseen Dillruba" which is all set to be streamed on Netflix on 9th of August and  "Khel Khel Mein," which will be releasing this Independence Day. As she continues to make waves in Bollywood, her call for respect and privacy is a reminder of the boundaries that should be maintained in the lives of celebrities.
