Sudhanshu Pandey aka Vanraj issues apology for his unexpected decision to leave Anupamaa

Sudhanshu Pandey, known for his role as Vanraj Shah in the popular show Anupamaa, has made a surprising announcement about his departure from the series. During an Instagram live session, Sudhanshu revealed his decision, leaving fans stunned. He took the opportunity to express his gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering love and support while also apologizing for the unexpected decision.

Sudhanshu Pandey posted on Instagram, “Mai pichle chaar saal se roj pahuch raha hun apke ghar ek daily soap ke jariye, ek kirdar play kar raha hu jiske liye mujhe bahut sara pyar or narazgi mili, but wo narazgi bhi ek tarike se pyar hi raha hai. Agar aap naraz na hote mere character dekh kar to mujhe lagta mai sahi tarike se nibha nahi pa raha hoon. I want to tell all of you with a heavy heart that I am now not a part of Anupamaa show. Raksha Bandhan episode se mai show ka hissa nahi hoon, par itne din beet gaye the or meri audience mujhse naraz na ho ki ye bina bataye kaise chala gaya toh mujhe laga ye meri zimmedari hai ki mai ye baat bataun aap sab ko. I am not playing Vanraj Shah anymore in the show Anupamaa. I am thankful for all the love, respect and support. I apologise for taking this sudden decision.” He added, “I will play various new characters, will not bore you in one role. Please keep supporting me in future.”

Recently, there have been speculations about other cast members leaving the show. Reports suggested that Gaurav Khanna, who plays Anuj, and Rupali Ganguly, who stars as Anupamaa, might also be exiting. However, producer Rajan Shahi addressed these rumors in an interview with HT, stating, “This is completely false. Both Gaurav and Rupali are very much part of the show and their characters are integral to the story.” He further mentioned, “I don’t know where do these rumours come from.”

A close source from the production team confirmed to HT, “There is no truth to the reports. They have no reason to leave the show. This is fake news and someone’s imagination. Time and again, someone or the other keeps making up these stories about the show, but there is no truth to all this. They are both still a part of Anupamaa.”

Meanwhile, the show’s upcoming episode features a new promo on Instagram, showcasing a touching moment between Anuj and Aadhya. The clip shows Anuj in a temple during Janmashtami when Anupama surprises him with a birthday gift, introducing him to Aadhya. Anuj becomes emotional, and they share a heartfelt hug. As Anupama walks away, Aadhya calls out to her, but Anupama faints.

Anupamaa is produced by Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi under Director’s Kut Productions, and stars Rupali Ganguly, Madalsa Sharma, and Gaurav Khanna in lead roles.
