Anupamaa Fame Madalsa Sharma Responds to Speculations About Tiff with Rupali Ganguly: 'It is not a new thing'

Madalsa Sharma recently said goodbye to the hit show Anupamaa after being part of it since the beginning in 2020. She gained popularity for her role as Kavya and shared the screen with Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey. In a recent interview, Madalsa talked about addressing rumors about a rift with co-star Rupali Ganguly and discussed how tough it was to make the decision to leave the successful show.

In her chat with Etimes, Madalsa Sharma talked about whether she had any conflicts with Rupali Ganguly. She stated, “I want to clarify that rifts can happen anywhere and everywhere. It happens on every set and it is not a new thing. It is just how you tackle the rifts is what matters. I can’t speak on other people’s behalf… baaki actors ne rift ko alag tarike se handle kiya hai maine alag tarike se handle kiya hai (they have their own way of handling rifts, i have my own).”

The actress highlighted that working with other co-stars on set isn't always a smooth ride. She noted, “It happens everywhere aur agar main kahoon ke mera kisi ke saath rift nahi hua then I can be partially wrong. If I’m being honest then of course kayi baar rifts hote hain (If i say i don’t have rifts with anyone that is partially wrong. Honestly, it happens a lot of times).” 

For Madalsa, the key is not dwelling on those issues or holding onto them. She sees them as part of everyday life and chooses to move forward.

Meanwhile, when questioned about whether leaving a successful show like Anupamaa was a difficult choice, Madalsa stated, “There was a lot of back and forth. It was not a very tough decision and not a very simple one also. I’ve invested four years in the show so it took a little bit of thinking.” 

Anupamaa stands out as a top-rated TV series, reigning over the TRP charts for an extended period. The show showcases Gaurav Khanna as Anuj Kapadia, Alpana Buch as Baa, and Nidhi Shah as Kinjal, alongside other talented actors. Before Madalsa, Sudhanshu Pandey had also bid farewell to the series.
