Actor Sudha Chandran knows no introduction where the actor has been a part of the entertainment industry for over three decades now and continues to be a part of interesting projects more oftenly. However, in such a long career, if there was one thing that she wanted to try her hand at and finally managed to for the first time - it is producing.
Chandran produced the first season of Crime Alert on Dangal, and now that the second season arrives, she might not be producing but will be anchoring the show. Talking to us exclusively, we asked her as to what makes Crime Alert different than other shows, she said, "I think everytime every channel tries to do something different, there is definitely one aspect that will be different from the others. Of course, crime is what it is - it's the same. It is how you treat it and how the perception towards it is - what makes it different. The channel and creative team have taken a different approach to treat it and this time, Crime Alert has roped in big and known faces in the TV industry to be a part of the stories - so it is going to be on a big canvas. So, it is great to see Dangal is moving foward and Crime Alert as a show is also moving forward in the right direction."
Talking about her experience producing, she said, "I was and continue to be thankful to Manish Sir, Bhagwan Sir and the entire team of Dangal for trusting me and giving me this opportunity to do so. Without their support, this probably wouldn't have been possible. They literally supported me in every step of things - how to do the casting, how to make an episode of crime etc. With my contacts in the industry, I was able to get good technicians and crew to work on the show. And of course, with the support and experience of my husband Ravi as an associate director, we were able to do a good job and gave decent ratings for our episodes. I will always be indebted to the aforementioned people and I loved every bit of it."
