Stree 2 day one box office prediction: Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao's movie to open at Rs 43 crores nett

Stree 2 has outdone all other box office releases across languages in India on Independence. The initial bookings were an indication of the terrific opening that the Shraddha Kapoor movie would take. It is slated to have the highest opening for a female-led movie in Bollywood. As of now, trade is looking at figures of Rs 42 to 45 crores net in India. This is staggering. There are a number of factors that are working really well for Stree 2. It has the right mix of horror and comedy, great songs and family entertainment. Maddock seems to have hit all the right notes with this movie. 

Stree 2 looks all set to beat Gadar 2 at the box office. The Sunny Deol movie had made Rs 40 crores nett last year surpassing all expectations. Like Gadar 2, even Stree 2 is doing well in smaller centres of India. For a movie to rake in numbers, it has to do well in the country’s smaller towns and cities. As per estimates, the Independence Day weekend should bring in a gross of Rs 100 crores for the Indian film industry. Stree 2 will be the biggest contributor followed by Vedaa and Thangalaan. Vedaa has also got great reviews from the critics for its screenplay, insane action and compelling story. The final figures for Stree 2 for day one are being reported at Rs 42 crores. 

The evening occupancy of Stree 2 as per Sacnilk Entertainment is 85 per cent. There are cameos by Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar in the movie. This is the entry of Akshay Kumar in this horror-comedy universe. 

Shraddha Kapoor has been a part of huge hits in her career. Saaho, Chhichhore, Baaghi, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar and  Aashiqui 2 are some of her big blockbusters. This time, Stree 2 has come to fight her arch enemy Sarkata. The filmmaker Amar Kaushik is in full form. Stree 2 might be the biggest hit in the career of Shraddha Kapoor.
