In one of the standout moments from Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Shah Rukh Khan makes a grand entrance with a helicopter landing, marking his return as his on-screen mother, portrayed by Jaya Bachchan, feels his presence. Karan Johar revealed that initially, Shah Rukh Khan believed he would be leaping out of the helicopter, but in reality, he simply had to descend — a fact that left him slightly disappointed.

In a conversation on Cyrus Says, Nikkhil reminisced about the scene, “When we told him that his entry in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is with the helicopter. He thought he is going to jump off the helicopter, while he just had to step down. The scene was more about Jaya Bachchan that she gets to know about the arrival of her son as soon as he touches the ground.”

Nikkhil spilled the beans on how Shah Rukh Khan approached the basketball scene in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai as if it were an action sequence, taking charge of choreographing it himself. “When you see Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, he gets a credit called thrills. In the beginning of the film, he gets credit for thrills. It is because he treated the basketball sequence in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai like an action scene. He choreographed it”, he said.

In Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Shah Rukh Khan portrays Rahul, the cherished son of the affluent Raichand family. His character is passionate and deeply devoted to his family. However, he encounters a significant dilemma when he falls in love with a girl from a less privileged background, played by Kajol. This romantic tale sparks a conflict with his stern father, depicted by Amitabh Bachchan, who disapproves of their relationship due to societal disparities.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to headline King, an exciting upcoming movie directed by Sujoy Ghosh. This project marks a special moment as the superstar will act alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan, for the first time. In King, Shah Rukh portrays a skilled assassin who safeguards Suhana's character, a young girl who has experienced the loss of her family.
