SRK Teases Karan Johar For Hosting Koffee With Karan, IIFA: "Film Bhi Bana Mere Bhai..."

Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar are all set to host IIFA 2024 at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, and their bromance was evident at the IIFA press conference. The pair shared some playful moments, with SRK teasing Karan Johar in good spirits for his emphasis on hosting over filmmaking.

During the media interaction, Shah Rukh spilled the beans that Karan wouldn’t be physically present for rehearsals and intended to conduct them via Zoom. SRK humorously recounted, “Karan told me he won’t be rehearsing for hosting, he’ll do it on Zoom. He said, ‘Bhai main Zoom pe kar lunga… main itna jaldi karta hu. Main toh itna hosting karta hu na.’ Chat show bhi host karta hai, film show bhi host karta hai… picture bhi toh bana mere bhai tu," SRK playfully remarked, causing laughter among the audience and Karan himself. He went on to jest, “Kitna host karega tu.”

Karan, with a smile, responded, “Siddhant Chaturvedi said the same thing, and I was like this is sounding so wrong on all levels for a filmmaker. I should be making more movies.”

Alongside the fun banter, Shah Rukh Khan revealed his fresh appearance at the gathering. The actor, known for his long locks in movies like Pathaan and Jawan, showcased a new shorter hairstyle. Despite wearing a cap at the press event, fans were swift to spot the missing ponytail, signaling the conclusion of his lengthy hair era that he had upheld for close to three years.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for King, helmed by Sujoy Ghosh. The movie will star his daughter Suhana Khan, marking their first on-screen collaboration. Suhana made her acting debut in The Archies on Netflix last year. Fans are buzzing with excitement for their joint venture in King.
