Split personality of Sriti Jha in Jyoti..

NDTV Imagine's new show Jyoti, produced by Sphere Origins is all set for its first big twist in the story line. In the coming episodes, viewers will see a change in Sudha, who plays Jyoti's sister in the show, and it will be revealed that the girl suffers from multiple personality disorder.

"Such kind of disorders are very serious psychological problems which are sometimes not even cured. A person suffers from more than one personality within her and this is the case with Sudha", says Sriti Jha who plays the character in the show.

Elaborating on her character she states, "Sudha is not aware of the second personality that lies in her. The second personality is known as Devika, who is totally opposite to what Sudha is. Devika is outgoing, confident while Sudha is just the opposite of her".

How did this incident happen in Sudha's life that she develops such a disorder? "Definitely there is a reason behind it. Once she was giving her exams and a girl behind her was cheating. As soon as the teacher came to check, the girl purposely put the chit in Sudha's pocket and she gets caught", quips the actress.

"The teacher punishes Sudha and tells her to strip in front of the class to see if she more chits hidden. This is something that shook her badly. Alongside she used to stay with her granny and was never loved as she was a girl child. All this took a toll on her and due to this depression, another personality came into existence. Sudha unknowingly derives this trait after seeing Devika, her neighbor who is ultra confident and assertive. When Sudha feels extremely suppressed and cornered, she starts behaving like Devika and talks to people in her imagination", she adds further.

Is anyone in the house aware of this disorder? "For now nobody is aware, not even Sudha her self. The drama will go bit long before the revelation of the dark truth happens. I can't tell anything further as for that, you need to wait and watch", she chirps.

What kind of preparation have you done for this character?? "I have researched a lot on net and have also read a novel on it, Sydney Sheldon's Tell Me Your Dreams… This has helped me a lot in preparing for Devika and Sudha together. I love my stint in the show and hope audience too likes it", she concludes.

The TRP's will tell the story of whether the twist is liked by the audience or not!!!
