As she bid farewell to the show in an exclusive interview with one of the leading portals, she shared about the show, how the serial changed her life as an actor and her bond with Ravi and Sargun.
Sonakshi, when talking about the show and how the show changed her life as an actor, said that the character of Naaz came with a lot of personal baggage. She added that to understand how her childhood journey had been, she had to watch a few episodes of her childhood in Udaariyaan. This made her easier to see why drastic actions were taken. She further added that she got to attempt something new on television and greeted thanks to the character 'Naaz', Which has undoubtedly benefited her as an actor and prepared her for the future. She adds that from character building to love, appreciation and support; she gained a lot through Naaz.
The bond and the experience she shared working with Ravi and Sargun, she said that she got the opportunity to work with Dreamiyata Productions, Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey's company and be a part of one of the most popular and highly rated TV shows. Working in Udaariyaan marked her second association with Colors TV. She further comments that it feels like her home now. She addressed that she got to work with seasoned actors and also experienced the flavour of Punjab as the Udaariyaan set was located in Chandigarh.
On speaking about the popularity she gained as Naaz, she added as she continues to receive messages from fans on Instagram, she feels immensely blessed and loved by all. Despite portraying a negative character, Naaz has been poured so much love and support. The audience could resonate with where Naaz's feelings ignited and what inspired her to take such heinous steps in the show.
Talking about the negative character and the pouring love from her fans, she even added that many people confuse the character as the person, so she was hesitant to play a negative role on television which is watched regularly by the audience. Still, the audience recognised the difference between Sonakshi Batra, an actor and Naaz, a fictional character. She further adds that she is overjoyed that it all worked out in her favour and that the performance was highly appreciated by everyone.
