Sohail Khan and Seema Khan file for divorce after 24 years of marriage

Sohail Khan and Seema Khan filed for divorce on Friday, almost 24 years after they married in 1998. As the paparazzi snapped them from afar, the estranged couple were sighted leaving Mumbai's Family Court.

As viewers had witnessed Seema Khan's life closely in the popular Netflix reality show which documented the lives of four popular Bollywood wives, Sohail and her relationship was quite out there. We saw Seema and Sohail living apart in the show. Their children alternate between the two homes.

When Seema's older son Nirvaan returns from boarding school for the holidays, she is overheard saying, "I don't see him nearly enough. He lives with his father and comes here to sleep. It's one of Nirvaan's most irritating features." 

"So Sohail came over," Seema says in another episode when Sohail arrives at her house. She is seen talking to the camera in one scene and saying, "We have the most amazing family." Sohail is an incredible father. Since the birth of my children, he has been incredible.

But she quickly explained why saying,

 "It's just that as you get older, your relationships tend to meander and go in different directions." I make no apologies because we are content and my children are content. Sohail and I are not married in the traditional sense, but we are a family. We work as a team. At the end of the day, it's about him, me, and our kids."

There were strong rumours that the couple was getting divorced back in 2017. The show also fueled rumours that the two were not living together.
