Smriti Khanna & Gautam Gupta Celebrates their baby girl's first puja ceremony; Attended only by family members!

Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta recently embraced parenthood. The Actress gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on 15th April 2020 and the couple held a small puja ceremony today. Speaking to a leading portal, Smriti shared details about the ceremony. 

In a conversation with Spotboye.com, Smriti shared that the ceremony took place today morning and it's a 40th day ceremony. After this, the mother and baby can officially go out of the house, however, that won't happen in their case yet. The Actress also revealed that the ceremony was attended by only family members and Gautam's cousin sister came and no one else. Smriti shared that as she stay with her in-laws, it seemed complete in a way. 

Talking about the ritual, the Actress shared that a little aarti was performed of the mother and the daughter and then they stepped out of the chaukhat.  "It’s believed that the mother’s body takes 40 days to recover after delivery and the baby’s immunity also builds in 40 days. Hence, they can go out after this puja," she shared.
