Shibani changes her name on social media, adds Farhan’s last name

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar, the much-loved pair who made to the list of newlyweds in B- town are shedding some major couple goals. The lovebirds got married in a private ceremony in Khandala, which was attended by the couple's family and close industry friends. 

There had been a week of festivities, including pre-wedding ceremonies, the D-Day, the civil wedding, and a wedding party hosted by Zoya Akhtar, newlyweds Farhan and Shibani were seen enjoying every moment of their wedding celebrations.

While Farhan and Shibani are settling into their new life together, the new bride has once again made news for her sweet gesture for her husband. Shibani, who is very active on social media, has updated her name on Instagram to include Farhan's surname.

Yes! Shibani Dandekar has changed her name to Shibani Dandekar Akhtar. Aside from that, the happy bride has changed her name to "Mrs. Akhtar" on her Facebook page. While adding the groom's name to the bride's name is an age-old practice, Shibani appears to be channelling all the emotions of a true Indian bride, and her gesture is attracting a lot of attention.

For the unversed, celebs like Rhea Chakraborty, Hrithik Roshan, Ashutosh Gowariker, Farah Khan, Saqib Saleem, etc., were seen marking their presence at the wedding. 

Meanwhile, Farhan was most recently seen in the film 'Toofan,' which also starred Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal. The picture was well-received by both reviewers and the general public.

Next, he is all set to take over the directorial reigns once again for ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. The film will bring together Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt together for the first time on screen.
