In a thrilling turn of events, the much-anticipated Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Jawan' has finally graced the screens of Bangladesh, putting an end to weeks of drama, debates, and speculation. This marks a historic moment, as 'Jawan' saw its release in Bangladesh on the same day as its global premiere.
The film received an uncut censor certificate from the Censor Board of Bangladesh, paving the way for its grand entry into Bangladeshi theaters. Just a few days prior, Salman Khan's film 'Kisi ka Bhai Kisi ki Jaan' had made its debut in Bangladesh, but it failed to captivate the hearts of film enthusiasts. In stark contrast, Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' garnered massive responses from his dedicated Bangladeshi fan base.

However, amid the celebratory atmosphere, some artists and filmmakers in Bangladesh voiced their discontent over the same. Their concerns stemmed from fears that a blockbuster like 'Jawan' might overshadow local productions and the talents associated with them.
For the unversed, the unwritten rules of the Bangladesh Film Producers' Association dictate that more than two films cannot be released in the same week, further fueling the debate.
Adding to the mix, two Bangladeshi films, 'Sujan Majhi' directed by Delwar Jahan Jhantu, and 'Duhshashhi Khoka' directed by Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, are poised for release on September 8. Delwar Jahan Jhantu emphasized that these two films had been scheduled for release prior to 'Jawan,' effectively blocking any other releases in the upcoming week.
Nonetheless, with the approval from the Censor Board, 'Jawan' has successfully surmounted the hurdles, bringing joy to Shah Rukh Khan's fans in Bangladesh.
