Shah Rukh Khan explains why 'Swades' failed

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy promoting 'Zero' along with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

Yesterday in an interview when King Khan was asked, his many films have been ahead of its time so if those must have been released today like now content is given more importance.

Shah Rukh answered, "When it flops then it is easy to say that it was ahead of its time. Somebody told me a few months back What is ahead of its time? This is the only time so how would we know? It is good to feel like that but there are few films like Swades flopped, but now everybody appreciates it. So was it ahead of it's time or maybe relevance of that film we realized now and appreciate it.

And at that point of the time there was Shah Rukh Khan in it and Ashutosh Gowarikar after Lagaan, people went with the expectations that they will see an exciting film like Lagaan and we gave them something else. So they were little more expecting of a commercial film. So maybe some of the films are like that and some of them are ranked like that"

Zero is slated to release on 21st December 2018.
