Shah Rukh Khan & Sunny Deol bury all the differences; share a hug & pose together at 'Gadar 2' success bash

All is forgiven. It might have taken three long decades but it seems the hatchet has been buried between two of the biggest stars of the Hindi film industry, Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol.

One would remember how post working on Darr together back in 1993, Deol went on to rather vocal about how he would never work with Yash Chopra again. He was quoted mentioning how even though people loved both him and Shah Rukh in the film, he didn't know that it would glorify the villain, which was played by SRK. This probably rubbed the latter the wrong way and apart from Deol's issue with Chopra, it turned out to be an unspoken feud with SRK as well and both of them went on to not speak to each other for almost 16 years.

But Deol recently also reiterated how things have only gotten better following that and both of them shared a good bond with each other. He also said that SRK loved Gadar 2 and called him about the same as well. In fact, when SRK was asked about Gadar 2 in his AskMe session on X (formerly Twitter), he also mentioned how he loved the film.

But while this was true there was conjecture about the reality of this situation. However, all that can be now officially be put to rest as Gadar 2's monstrous success at the box office led to a huge party for the entire industry last night and none other than SRK was in attendance with wife Gauri Khan.

Soon enough, the much-awaited moment happened and Deol and SRK not only hugged each other but went on to pose for the paparazzi together thus sealing a moment that will be cherished forever as seen in the image above.

It is rather interesting that apart from 2023 being the year of Deol and SRK coming together for a hug and an image after umpteen years; it is also the same year that both these superstars are responsible for giving two of the most successful Hindi films ever - Gadar 2 and Pathaan respectively. While Gadar 2 is on march and has a big chance to dethrone Pathaan, King Khan already has another mega project lined up right away - Jawan, which is already breaking some unforeseen advance box office records.
