Known for her remarkable performance in critically acclaimed series Churails, Pakistani actress Sarwat Gilani has set the stage on fire once again with her power packed performance in the recently launched Zindagi original series Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam, streaming on Zee5.
She plays Mehak, a romantic woman, who is stuck in a loveless marriage. Speaking about her role and the preparation she underwent, Sarwat said, “Mehak is an ordinary girl who falls in love with the wrong guy and is both the Romeo and the Juliet of her love story. In this story, there are two different Mehaks, one that you see in the current times who is sad and dealing with her issues and the younger Mehak who was earlier a fun, college-going girl. The young Mehak’s look, and her hairstyle reminded me of the legendary Sharmila Tagore ji and Parveen Babi ji. I spent a lot of time researching their looks to understand the 70’s fashion, the hairstyle and the body language.”
