Fans are eagerly waiting for the premiere of Citadel: Honey Bunny, the upcoming Indian spy action thriller series featuring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. A spin-off of the American TV show Citadel, fronted by Priyanka Chopra, this fresh series has been creating a buzz since its reveal. The teaser, unveiled on August 1, has garnered immense praise. To heighten the anticipation, Salman Khan sent his good wishes for the series on social media.

On August 2, Salman Khan hopped on Instagram to repost the teaser video of Citadel: Honey Bunny. Showering praise on the series helmed by Raj & DK, Salman wrote, “Arre wah V.D., Citadel Honey Bunny? Lagta hai baat bunny aur honey ke saath citaphal bhi khane milega… raat baki hai coming to see grandfather (my friend David), u, Rohit, Lalli ma and the kids son and granddaughter tonite…"

Priyanka Chopra, who featured in the original American rendition of Citadel, also displayed her backing. She reposted the content from the creators of Citadel: Honey Bunny. In her post, Priyanka added several collision emojis and tagged the main actors, directors Raj & DK, and the producers. The makers captioned the teaser with, "Honey Bunny… Release date declassified! #CitadelHoneyBunnyOnPrime #CitadelOnPrime #CitadelHoneyBunny."

During the teaser launch event on August 1, Varun Dhawan spilled the beans that the producers of the series were super focused on preserving his look for the show. Varun shared, “The makers were very concerned and gave me strict instructions: ‘If you are doing this, you cannot do another project during this time, no ads. This is your look; you can only be in this.’ I enjoyed it more because I got to be in this character for a much longer period of time."

Citadel: Honey Bunny also includes Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher in its cast. The series is scheduled for release in various languages, with Citadel: Diana (Italian) hitting screens on October 10, 2024, followed by Citadel: Honey Bunny (Hindi) on November 7, 2024.
