Salman Khan faces heightened security amid death threats, shoots for Sikandar with four-layer protection

Salman Khan’s safety remains a top priority as he continues filming for his upcoming movie Sikandar in Hyderabad, despite receiving fresh death threats. The actor is currently working at the Falaknuma Palace Hotel, one of the key locations for the film, where a robust four-layer security arrangement has been put in place to ensure his protection.

According to a leading daily, a significant portion of the hotel has been sealed off for the shoot, and access is strictly controlled. While parts of the hotel are still open for guest bookings, anyone entering must pass through two security checks—one by the hotel and another by Salman’s personal security team. All visitors, including staff, undergo rigorous screenings, and the staff are prohibited from swapping shifts without prior approval. The production team has ensured that the entire property is under tight surveillance, transforming the hotel and its grounds into a near-impenetrable fortress.

"There are three standing sets, of which two are in the city, but the main location is the palace hotel. Even though they are shooting in one portion, the production team has secured access to the entire hotel and grounds, transforming it into a fortress. While guests can book their stay in the hotel, they have to undergo two levels of screenings, one by the hotel and the other by Salman’s security team. Access to the location is controlled—only those with prior permission can enter, following background and ID checks. The staff also undergo daily screenings, and there is a strict no-swapping policy,” said a source.

Salman’s security is reportedly handled by a comprehensive four-tier system, designed to ensure his safety at all times. This includes a private security team of ex-paramilitary personnel, as well as a contingent selected by his trusted bodyguard Shera. Additionally, the actor is provided protection by both the Hyderabad and Mumbai police forces. In total, an estimated 50 to 70 security personnel are assigned to him on-site.

“This includes the private security detail, consisting of ex-paramilitary personnel, that has been hired. Then there is the team hand-picked by Salman’s long-time bodyguard Shera, and the cover that has been granted by the Hyderabad police and Mumbai police. In all, the superstar is accompanied by a 50-to-70-member security personnel,” added the source.

The superstar is in Hyderabad to shoot musical sequences with actress Rashmika Mandanna for Sikandar, after which he is scheduled to travel to Dubai for his Da-Bangg Reloaded show. Despite the ongoing security concerns, Salman remains focused on his work, showing resilience in the face of the threats against him.
