Announced on January 24, 2024, the film is set to hit theaters on Christmas 2025. The announcement was made by Vicky Kaushal on Instagram, sparking considerable enthusiasm among fans.

According to Pinkvilla, the shooting for Love And War is scheduled to commence this year. Ranbir Kapoor will start filming in the first week of October, followed by Vicky Kaushal around October 10. A source revealed to Pinkvilla, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali will begin with sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor and then move on to the scenes involving Ranbir and Vicky. The schedule has been meticulously planned, keeping in mind the availability of the star cast.”

The source further added, “Alia Bhatt has dedicated significant dates to YRF for the film Alpha. She will join the Love And War shoot after completing Alpha by late November or early December.”

The film's announcement earlier this year was a major event, with Alia and Vicky sharing the news on Instagram.
