Ranbir Kapoor recently shared insights into his troubled childhood in an interview with Nikhil Kamath on the YouTube channel "People by WTF." The actor opened up about the traumatic impact of the frequent fights between his late father, Rishi Kapoor, and his mother, Neetu Singh. Ranbir, known for his openness about his personal and professional life, was deeply affected by the loud arguments between his parents. He said, "Anybody who speaks louder has disturbed me since childhood. My parents went through a lot of fights. We lived in a bungalow, so I have spent most of my childhood on the staircases, hearing them fight. I was always scared and on the edge."

Ranbir elaborated that during the rough patches in his parents' relationship, he often felt a sense of responsibility, especially since his sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, was not around. He mentioned that while his mother would share her feelings with him, his father was not as expressive, leaving Ranbir to navigate his understanding of the situation. This lack of communication from his father made it challenging for Ranbir to comprehend both sides of the story.

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh married in January 1980 and had two children, Riddhima and Ranbir. Ranbir, who married his "Brahmastra" co-star Alia Bhatt in April 2022, welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, in November 2022. The Kapoor family has always been in the limelight, and Ranbir's candid revelations glimpse the personal struggles behind the glamorous show.

Over the years, he has established himself as one of Bollywood's most versatile actors known for taking on a variety of roles that showcase his talent and range.

His most recent film, "Animal," directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, co-starred Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, Suresh Oberoi, and Shakti Kapoor. Despite its commercial success, "Animal" faced criticism from some audience members and critics for its depiction of toxic masculinity and glorification of violence. Ranbir addressed the backlash, stating that he disagreed with the negative interpretations of the film.

Looking ahead, Ranbir will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's "Ramayana," which is based on the ancient text by sage Valmiki. This highly anticipated project has generated significant buzz, and fans are eager to see Ranbir's portrayal in this epic tale. As he continues to navigate his career and personal life, Ranbir Kapoor remains one of Bollywood's most intriguing and multifaceted stars.
