"I, Vishal and Shekhar are not dramebaaz at all"

The gorgeous and talented Shreya Ghosal who has entertained the audience with her melodious songs, will be seen judging the Sony TV's upcoming season of singing reality show Indian Idol Juniors along with the talented singers Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani as her co-judges and Karan Wahia and Mandira Bedi as the hosts of the show. On the same we got in touch with her to know her feelings of being a part of Sony TV's Indian Idol Juniors, her rapport with the judges and how much is she influenced by the talented kids.

She happily started with, "Freemantle Production house is superb to work with, they are very professional, enthusiastic and always come up with new ideas. They always believe in pure entertainment and do not create drama. So I like the honesty in their work."

She further added saying, "When I was offered the show where I had to judge the kids, honestly I did not think much and took up the offer because it is very clear that anything with kids is pure and very fresh. There is nothing compared to being surrounded by the innocent souls. I am very happy being a part of this show."

When we asked her about the difference between her childhood days and the kids now, she said "I myself had started my singing career at a very young age but the way we were is totally different from what we see in this generation kids. We were very untrained, no exposure as during our time television was still new, hence we were very much nervous. Nowadays the kids are much more refined, very much confident and that is the best part."

"During my times when anyone wanted to become a singer people said 'are you giving up your career for Singing?' Now that preconceived notion is not there and I am very happy for the fact that singing has become a reputed career."

On her bonding with the other co-judges Vishal and Shekhar, she said, "Vishal and Shekhar are really amazing... we share a very good bond and enjoy ourselves in the audition rounds and will we do so during the show too. I, Vishal and Shekhar are not dramebaaz at all, we believe in telling the truth to the kids if they are wrong somewhere or need to improve, but we tell it in such a way that it does not hurt them. Singing is something where we have to tell the truth if there is a need of improvement as it helps them in the long run and their career."

"The audition rounds have been amazing so far, we have got a huge response and so also we have got in a lot of talented kids along with us. It is surely going to be very tough for us too choose from this talented bunch which we have picked from the different cities."

About her career she said, "My career has been good so far but when it comes to art you can never say what is going to happen. It can make you face downfall too, so you cannot predict for the future. Apart from that nowadays you get to learn a lot from the new talent in the singing industry, since fresh and amazing talent is coming in. We should always keep learning as it is the only key to success."
