"I have always enjoyed dancing with Amruta," says Himmanshoo Malhotraa

Himmanshoo Malhotraa, who recently performed with his wife, Amruta Khanvilkar in Kumkum Bhagya, talks about his experience and his love for dance.

You did a dance performance in Kumkum Bhagya. What are the details? On what song did you perform and from which film?
I danced with my wife, Amruta on the songs Humma Humma and Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast. I always enjoy dancing with her. The channel wanted someone who had great chemistry for real, hence, we were roped in for the performance.

What inspires you to dance? What should the viewer take away, interpretation or a message you wish to convey?
Right from my childhood, I love dancing. I remember when I was very young, my dad used to encourage me to dance at weddings and receptions. I used to feel very shy back then but slowly and steadily, I started enjoying it. It actually opened me from being an introvert to someone who started enjoying stage performances. Until today I love stage performances. It gives you a chance to be a heroic on stage, where everyone is only looking at you and adoring you. It's the best feeling anyone can get in life. Those few seconds are always to be valued and treasured. Dance inspires everyone to shed their inhibitions and be happy. I would just expect and request people to not judge anyone while dancing. It's the most beautiful part of emoting in life.

What was the most memorable experience you had there?
Just meeting the whole Balaji crew, who was a party of Nach Baliye 7 was fun. It's always amazing to get together, enjoy and cherish old beautiful memories with them. They were a part of the most beautiful journey of our lives.

What are your hobbies and does this help you with your dancing?
I read books, enjoy meeting people, listening to music. The rhythm keeps playing in my body all the time once the music starts. They all are connected.

Which is your favourite dance form?
I love contemporary dance.
