"I am open to historical shows on TV!" - Sonali Raut

Quirky in her thoughts, Sonali Raut entertained us throughout her stint in Bigg Boss 8 (Colors) by voicing her thoughts loud.

But post the show, she has been seen in the TV industry circuit of late! To know more about the dusky beauty, we contacted the Sonali to find out what she has been upto!

An elated Sonali shared, "I recently shot for Bollywood movie, 'Great Grand Masti' featuring known faces Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani in the lead roles. I am currently shooting for another movie, 'Paranormal' by Sanjay Sharma and I am in talks for the third movie."

Wow! Looks like her participation on Bigg Boss 8 has worked wonders for her!

Elaborating on the thought, the lady averred, "Yes, that's true. TV as a medium gives visibility and mass appeal where as in films; the audience has an option to not to watch the movie so the risk is more."

"Actually, after doing a movie, I chose Bigg Boss and it worked for me. Apart from movies, I have offers from television pouring but I haven't really made up my mind to take up TV. I would take up a show only if the concept revolves around me. On a whole, I am open to historical shows! I do not watch much of television but Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap was a brilliant show." She added.

Lastly, we asked the ex-Bigg Boss contestant about her viewpoint on the current season of Bigg Boss 9- Double Trouble!

Sonali quipped, "I have not got a chance to watch all the episodes but when I saw the show, initially I found the contestants good but I have been hearing that the contestants seem to have watched all the seasons and that their performance is rehearsed...probably over rehearsed! When I went to the Bigg Boss house it was a clean slate for me. I did not know what the show was all about and hence was not aware of what I was expected to do. I guess people liked me because I said whatever I felt like without any intention to deliver content."
