In an exclusive chat with India Forums, Shilpa Shirodkar revealed why she agreed to join Bigg Boss 18. Popular for acting in Hindi films from the late 80s to early 2000s, Shilpa is also Namrata Shirodkar’s sister and Mahesh Babu’s sister-in-law. She shared her excitement about entering the house, the tasks she looks forward to, and her thoughts on interacting with host Salman Khan.

You are entering Bigg Boss 18. How do you feel about it?

I am very excited about entering Bigg Boss 18. The main reason I said yes is because I am a huge fan of the show. I’ve watched all the seasons, and as my daughter grew older, she kept asking me, "Mom, why don't you participate?" And I thought, why not? It's a fun show where even when you're upset, you can watch and laugh.

Have you been able to sleep well knowing you'll be in the Bigg Boss house?
Honestly, I was sleeping well at first, but for the past two days, I haven’t been able to sleep. The questions people ask have been keeping me up at night! I’ve been thinking a lot about how I'll be in the house and what kind of strategy I should have, but I’ve decided to just be myself and go with the flow.

What would be your favorite duty in the house?
I think my favorite duty will be cooking. I love cooking and feeding people, so I’d enjoy preparing meals for the contestants. And if there's someone picky about food, I can manage that too because my husband is very picky about his food!

What is one strength and one weakness that you think might come out in the house?
My strength is that I’m very organized and can handle tough situations well. As for a weakness, I think if people figure out that I’m sensitive, they might use that against me.

How do you feel about interacting with Salman Khan every weekend?
I think Salman is a fabulous host, and there’s no better mentor than him. He may shout at you, but it’s only to help you become better. I’ve never worked with him personally, but I admire him for being so straightforward and matter-of-fact.

I love Shehnaaz Gill—she’s my all-time favorite. I also like Gauahar Khan and Siddharth Shukla. For me, Bigg Boss 13 was the most real season, where everything felt genuine, from their laughs to their fights.
