Shehzada Dhami, widely recognised for his portrayal of Armaan Poddar in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is making headlines once again as he enters the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 18. In one of the promos released by JioCinema, he candidly shared that he faced challenges on the set and eventually transitioned from the show, sparking interest in how he will navigate the Bigg Boss house. Fans are eager to see if he will discuss these experiences or if it will become a hot topic among the housemates.

Before entering the show, the actor, in an exclusive conversation with India Forums, opens up about his excitement, the challenges he anticipates in the Bigg Boss 18 house, and how he plans to handle the pressure of living in such a competitive and highly watched environment. Here's what the actor had to share about his journey:

How excited are you to enter the Bigg Boss 18 house?

Excitement is... It's very normal. Not like a very big excitement. It's just a new thing for me that I'm going to do. It's a very different experience. Let's see how it goes.

When you got the news that you were entering the Bigg Boss house, who was the first person you shared it with?

I didn't share it with anyone. I just told my mom and her reaction was, "Are you sure you wanna do it?" And I said, "Yes, it's okay, Mom, I will do it." She was like, "Yeah, go and rock it. I know you can do it."

He continued, "It's not that my mom didn't like it; she just wanted to make sure I was sure. I make my own decisions, and I've never needed confirmation from anyone. But like any parent, she asked if I was happy with it because happiness is the most important thing for a child."

If anyone brings up an argument related to this issue or anything else with me, I'll respond accordingly, but I won't give a weak answer

Bigg Boss is a reality show based on personalities, but it's also known for arguments and conflicts. What do you think will be the biggest challenge for you in the house?

As such, there is no big challenge. In my normal life, I've faced a lot of things, and I'm mentally strong. I've fought through many situations, and when you're mentally strong, aapko girana thoda mushkil hota hain. For me, the one thing that might be different is giving up my personal space. I live alone, so sharing a room or a dinner table with so many people will be new.

Given that you value your personal space, do you think it will be hard to adjust to being constantly surrounded by others?

It's not that I don't like crowds, but I will definitely miss my personal space. That's the one thing I think I'll miss from my normal life.

If someone tries to provoke you in the house, will you handle it calmly, or do you tend to get angry?

No, what I believe is that impulsive reactions made in the heat of the moment are often wrong. You know how they say, people who talk too much often end up saying the wrong things. So, raising your voice doesn't enhance the impact of your personality; in fact, it diminishes it. When you speak with an impactful voice and make a significant point, your message should be clear—that I provided the right answer—but the tone in which it was delivered doesn't matter.

What aspect of your personality do you think will be tested the most during your time in the house?

Everything will be tested. I've never experienced living with so many people who are so different. With family, we love each other, fight, and makeup because we share the same blood. But in the Bigg Boss house, everyone has different DNA (laughs), different personalities, and different thought processes. Surviving with them will be the real challenge.

After your experience in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, fans have had mixed opinions about you. Do you think Bigg Boss is a good platform to change any misconceptions people might have about you?

Yes, this platform will help me. In my normal life, I'm very genuine and don't pretend to be someone I'm not. If you do fake it, you can only maintain that facade for a short while before the truth comes out. So, it's better to be true from day one and stay true to your nature and thoughts. If anyone brings up an argument related to this issue or anything else with me, I'll respond accordingly, but I won't give a weak answer.

Have you watched any previous seasons of Bigg Boss? Do you have a favourite contestant or season?

Yes, I have watched Sidharth Shukla's (Bigg Boss 13) season, but I don't have a favourite contestant. It's a personality-based show, and the people who stayed true to themselves are the ones who lifted the trophy. If anyone maintains their genuine personality, they will win. So, no favourites for me.

With this confident outlook, Shehzada Dhami is all set to make his mark in Bigg Boss 18. His journey will surely be one to watch as he navigates the challenges of the house and shows the world who he truly is.
