"Eijaz Khan calls me a Natural Actress!" - Niyati Fatani

An ambitious 22-year old urban girl Aru' gets enamored with a 42-year-old rural village chief. The two have conflicting personalities and outlooks towards life. This is what makes 'Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage'  a good watch.

The chirpy Niyati Fatani is the lead face of this show and is paired opposite the very handsome Eijaz Khan. In conversation with Niyati, she spills beans on her contentment with 'Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage'.

Niyati, what prompted you to be a part of  'Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage'?

My bubbly character in 'YMMKD', is actually Arundhati fondly called Aru. She is always multi-tasking and one of her assignments is match-making.

I felt my character is dynamic and challenging as whilst matching, this modern Aru feels emotionally drawn towards the traditional ethnic lifestyle of the Mukhi (Eijaz Khan). It is a deep-rooted slow and steady bonding between Aru and Mukhi

How well did you gel with your co-star Eijaz Khan?

It didn't take us long to break the ice and become pally because Eijaz is friendly and smart-witted in real-life. Besides, being experienced, he helped me quite often to improve my performance. Of late, he praises me by saying that I am a 'natural actress'. People are already complimenting our chemistry on-screen, although our conflicting characters agree to disagree, most of the time.

If not an actor, what profession would you be in?

Possibly a management career. I would most probably be a versatile professional dancer because performing arts always fascinates me. Secretly, I wish they incorporate dance situations for me in 'YMMKD'. Since I am born and brought up in Gujarat, dandiya-raas-garba really makes me excited.

A recent compliment you received which made you feel humbled with delight?

That my eyes and facial contour had fleeting similarities to that of the legendary gorgeous actress Madhubala.

On a romantic date with your guy, what would you expect from him?

Hmmm, definitely a candle-light dinner, a yummy cake, sounds of a serenading violin, a corked bottle of champagne and a lovey-dovey ambiance. Which will give me a high, because actually, I don't drink!

If it's a fantasy, Hollywood debonair actor Ryan Gosling would be my 'dream date'.
