PS-1: Aishwarya Rai exudes royal charm as she clicks a selfie with Trisha Krishnan; Pic

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is all set to make a hufe comeback on the big screen with Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. Ponniyin Selvan chronicles the story of the early days of Arulmozhivarman, a powerful king of the south who went on to become the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I.

Talking of which now, South actor Trisha Krishnan shared a picture with her Ponniyin Selvan: I co-star, actor Aishwarya Rai.

Taking to her social media, Trisha posted a photo that was clicked on the sets of the film. In the picture, Aish wrapped her arm around Trisha as she captured the selfie. Both Trisha Krishnan and Aishwarya were dressed in outfits for the character of the film.

The actors smiled and leaned towards each other as they posed for the camera. Sharing the photo, Trisha wrote, "Ash (hug emoji)." Interestingly the two actors get along well in real life, but their characters in the film are at loggerheads. Aishwarya plays the antagonist Nandini while Trisha plays Chola princess Kundavai. 

Fans were enchanted by their beautiful attire as both divas exuded royal vibes in the picture and just swarmed the comment section with adorable comments.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan: I also stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj. Based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 Tamil novel, the upcoming historical drama is set to hit theatres on September 30. Ponniyin Selvan is backed by Mani Ratnam's production house Madras Talkies and Allirajah Subaskaran's banner Lyca Productions.
