Preity Zinta shows support to RJ slamming meme creators for comparing Manu Bhaker to Tripti Dimri

One of the shining stars of India’s campaign for Paris Olympics 2024 has been Manu Bhaker. She brought home two bronze medals for the country. Manu Bhaker is a shooter from the state of Haryana. After her win, people have started following her on Instagram. We can see that she is quite pretty too. However, some meme creators are making reels saying stuff like she can eat up the likes of Disha Patani and Tripti Dimri. Both these actresses are reigning sirens of the Bollywood industry. Varun Dhawan, an RJ has called out such creators saying it is very demeaning to compare Manu Bhaker to actresses.

Preity Zinta showed support for this video. The RJ is heard saying that while Tripti Dimri and Disha Patani are too be lauded in their own field, comparing Manu Bhaker to them is an absolute shame. He said it takes years of hustle and effort to even compete in the Olympics. He said it is a shallow train of thought that sees women only for their physical beauty. He said parents should educate their boys better on this. A number of people have appreciated his stance. In the video, he trashes such memes for creating such kind of derogatory content just for entertainment. 

Many netizens said that people cannot praise any woman without degrading others. One more netizen said, “Raising this issue is important because talent is far more crucial than appearance. Let's concentrate on what truly matters!” while one more person stated, “Yes same way when the photos of women rocket scientists were coming, everyone were busy commenting how sanskari they are because they are wearing saris, like they are rocking scientists, they are some of the most intelligent human beings, you reduced them to what clothes they chose to wear?” Even Ridhi Dogra showed support for this stance. 

Manu Bhaker was born in Jhajjar district of Haryana. Her father works as a chief engineer in the Merchant Navy while her mother is an educationist. Since childhood, she was deeply interested in sports and won medals in tennis, skating and boxing. When she became a teen she decided to focus on shooting. Her father encouraged her to take up competitive shooting.
