PM Modi's mother passes away: Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Ajay Devgn & others offer condolences

Mother Heeraben of Prime Minister Narendra Modi passed away late on Thursday. On social media, a number of Bollywood stars expressed their grief and condolences after learning of her passing. On her Instagram Stories, Kangana Ranaut posted a lovely photo of Heeraben feeding Narendra Modi with his hand.

She wrote in Hindi, “May God give Narendra Modi ji patience and peace in this tough time. Om Shanti.”

Ajay Devgn also tweeted, “My heartfelt condolences on the passing of Smt. Heeraben Modi. A simple, principled lady, she raised a fine son in our PM Shri Narendra Modiji. Om Shanti. My personal condolences to our PM and his family.”

Akshay Kumar's tweet read, “There is no greater sorrow than losing a mother. May god give you the strength to bear this sorrow @narendramodi ji. Om Shanti.”

Anupam Kher stated that PM Modi enjoys the love of many moms, including his own. In Hindi, he tweeted, "Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, you are respected! I'm saddened and shocked by the news of your Matashree Hiraba ji's passing. The world can see how much you cherish and respect her. Her void in your life won't be filled by anybody else! But you are Mother India's son! You have the good wishes of every mother in the nation. also my mother!"

Vivek Agnihotri wrote, “My deepest condolences to Shri @narendramodi on the sad demise of his beloved ‘maa’. The Karmayogi life of the mother of the son of Mother India will continue to inspire us all. 100 salutes to you. Om Shanti.”

Swara Bhasker also tweeted, “Condolences to PM @narendramodi on the passing of his mother. Prayers and strength.” 

Apart from them, many others like Sonu Sood, comedian Kapil Sharma, and singer Kailash Kher also mourned the loss of PM's mother.
