Radhika Apterecently opened up about celebrities talking about going natural and not using filters on picture-sharing platforms.
The actress, who enjoys a massive fan-following on social media, has seen the good, bad and ugly of the internet.
In the recent past, several celebrities from the entertainment industry have stressed the need for being 'natural' on social media.
Uploading photographs without filters and/or makeup has sort of turned into a trend on Instagram, and many seem to be all game for it.
The Andhadhun actress in an interview with Times Now Digital, shared her take on prominent celebrities opening up about being natural on the photo-sharing platform.
"I think people should also stop doing surgeries, and then talk about natural beauty," she said, adding that she is someone who is into both edited and unedited photographs, wherein edited refers to the use of filters on social media uploads.
She explained,
"I think everybody knows how my face looks without makeup, there’s nothing to hide there. Sometimes I am just really bored of doing makeup but the brand expects me too, so I just put up a filter as I can’t be bothered to do my makeup."
Radhika also opened up about negativity and trolls on social media.
Although she mostly avoids reading the comments, she admitted to reading a few during the lockdown last year and was deeply disturbed by the same.
Radhika is undoubtedly one of the critically acclaimed actresses we have in the industry. She has films like ‘Shor in the City’, ‘Vetri Selvan’, ‘Badlapur’, ‘Manjhi The Mountain Man’, ‘Parched’, ‘Phobia’, ‘Pad Man’ and ‘Andhadhun’ among others to her credit.
The actress has recently wrapped up the shoot of Forensic with Vikrant Massey and Ronit Roy in key roles.
