Pawan Singh breaks silence with cryptic ‘suffering’ post after viral video and wife’s suicide claim

Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh has landed in the spotlight once again, this time for a cryptic note he shared on Instagram. The actor posted a picture of himself praying with folded hands, accompanied by a Hindi proverb: “?? ????? ??— ??? ?? ???? ?? ?? ????, ??? ? ???? ??? ????”. The saying translates to, “Only the one who suffers knows the pain; no one else can truly understand another’s suffering.”

The post comes at a time when Singh faces criticism on multiple fronts. A recent video from an event in Lucknow went viral, drawing widespread condemnation. In the clip, Singh was seen allegedly placing his hand on the waist of his co-star Anjali Raghav while posing for cameras. The incident, linked to the promotions of his latest song, sparked backlash across social media.

On August 30, Anjali publicly responded to the controversy. Known for her work in Haryanvi music videos, she condemned Singh’s actions and announced her decision to step away from the Bhojpuri industry. In her statement, Anjali revealed she had been receiving a flood of messages since the video spread, with people questioning her silence on stage and why she appeared smiling. She clarified that the situation left her deeply uncomfortable and that the criticism only added to her distress.

The actor’s personal life has also come under strain. Jyoti Singh, his second wife, recently shared an emotional post alleging neglect. She claimed that for months she had been unable to reach Pawan despite repeated calls and messages regarding personal and political matters. Her note suggested growing despair in their marriage and carried a worrying reference to self-harm. She wrote that the circumstances had left her with thoughts of “nothing but self-immolation.”

The twin controversies have kept Singh under scrutiny. While a section of social media users criticised him for his behaviour and his personal conduct, loyal fans defended him, arguing that he is being unfairly targeted.

Singh himself has not issued a direct statement on either controversy. His cryptic post, however, has only fuelled further discussion about his state of mind as both his professional and personal life remain mired in turbulence.
