Actor Arun Mandola, just like everyone else has faces the wrath of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and it has affected him in an emotional manner so to speak.
The actor's younger sister Meera is all set to tie the knot on 15th June in Delhi but Mandola, who lives in Mumbai will be unable to attend the flight as he missed his last minute flight.
Talking about it with ETimes, Mandola said, "This is the first marriage in our family and it's very special for all of us. My sister was supposed to get married in March, but we had to postpone it to May because of the coronavirus lockdown. When the lockdown was extended, we had to postpone it again. We decided on the date last minute, I wasn't able to get the tickets. Also, I didn't want to take a risk with flying right now."
He further added that the wedding will be an intimate affair with less than 25 people saying, "With things slowly opening up, we picked June 15 as the final date. We are trying to do everything keeping the COVID-19 guidelines in mind. There' s no band- baja. We haven't invited many people. There will only be 25 people, including both the families. We will be using disposable cutlery, disinfectant spray and regularly sanitise the venue."
He concluded saying, "My sister wasn’t very happy as none of her friends will be attending the wedding. This is obviously not how she planned it, but she understands the situation. I video call her almost every day and will be connected through video call even on her big day. And I hope she knows that my blessings are always with her."
The actor is best known for his role in Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan
