Nikhil Arya, famous for his role as Rudra in Kesar, will be seen in a new avatar as he dons the uniform of Officer Abhimanyu Adhikari in Star One's Choona Hai Aasmaan. Telly Buzz gets to know more from the actor himself.
When contacted, Sandip Sikcand, Creative Head of Miditech, says, "Nikhil Arya, who was previously seen in Kesar and now in Kasturi will be replacing Iqbal Khan in Choona Hai Aasmaan".Nikkhil Arya, affirms the news saying, “It feels great to be playing Abhimanyu Adhikari in Choona Hai Aasmaan. Today is my first day of shoot. I feel the role is very challenging mainly because the show has a very unique storyline and is hatke from the usual saas bahu sagas that are happening on television.” He further adds, “I have played a lover in Rabba Ishq Na Hove, a negative character in Kesar and Kasturi, so this is something different. I guess I complete a full circle donning the uniform of an air force officer.”
Iqbal Khan, who was seen essaying the role till now, carved a niche in the hearts of the audience as Abhimanyu, so will the audience accept Nikhil in his shoes? To which Nikhil instantly replies, “As I said before, I have accepted the role as a challenge. Iqbal and I, both, differ in personalities, style and persona. When the serial started out, it had the glamor quotient of the air force. However, the plot has thickened now and the Hawks are on a special mission. The character, in itself, requires more of acting and not just style. When the serial began, looking good in a uniform was sufficient, but now the acting skills of the actor need to take an upper hand. And that is exactly what I plan to concentrate on as I step into Iqbal’s shoes.”
On an ending note Nikhil says, “I know this is a huge challenge for me but I truly need all your blessings and support to essay the role perfectly and take the character and show ahead.”
Although the audience appreciated him as Rudra and Vivaan, will they be able to accept him the new Abhimanyu in Choona Hai Aasmaan? That surely awaits to be seen!!!

Well i now know that i won't be watching CHA anymore. like most of you i was only watching for MIK and now there is no point in watching it anymore coz he the true Abhimanyu Adhikari. I saw this Nikhil guys acting and it isn't even close to MIK. I was shocked when i didn't see Iqbal as Abhi so i'm really missing him now. I miss you MIK and i really hope you come back on tele very soon.

i watch one epis and that was enough!! IQ was disappointing for me i liked him in the balaji roles Shiv Kapoor was rocking ...but Yash did well for the reminding of the show!! I would laugh if it gets good reviews!! Good luck but i never watch it was disappointing and they even got a bollywood actress to help... i dont think they can make a SRk classic again on the small screen Kat

I think Nikhil Arya sounds extremely arrogant in the last paragraph. In which he states: When the show began looking good in a uniform was sufficient but now the acting skills of the actor need to take an upper hand. Does he mean to say that Iqbal's success is based on his style and looks and not on his acting talent? Because when I read his statement that is the understanding that I get. Sorry Nikhil but you have got it only half right. You are correct that Iqbal brought his personal style and his great voice and cool look to the character of Aabhimanyu. But the other reason for its success was Iqbal's acting ability, I think he does a terrific job. I am not putting you down as an actor but I wouldn't ever say you are better in anyway than Iqbal k. After all you may have decent acting skills but you can never look and sound as good as Iqbal.
