Nana ignores back pain, lifts Shreyas (Movie Snippets)

Mumbai, Aug 15 (IANS) At 62, Nana Patekar has an undying spirit to give his best. The actor was suffering pain due to a back injury, but that didn't deter him from lifting Shreyas Talpade on his shoulders for a shoot for "Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal".

Mumbai, Aug 15 (IANS) At 62, Nana Patekar has an undying spirit to give his best. The actor was suffering pain due to a back injury, but that didn't deter him from lifting Shreyas Talpade on his shoulders for a shoot for "Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal".

While shooting for the Percept Pictures' comedy film, Nana reached dot on time despite a back injury. He says he believes injuries are like guests.

"If you treat them well and pamper them, they stay back and refuse to go away. You need to be aloof about their existence and they leave as quickly as they came," Nana said in a statement.

Thanks to his spirit, he effortlessly lifted Shreyas for a pose for the Priyadarshan-directed movie. He also credits his ability to carry off the stunt to his health consciousness.

"It is important for each of us to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We need to let go of addictions. I have. So can you. And once you are healthy, go for walks, do yoga and quit bad habits like smoking and drinking, you will be fit and fine," he said.

3D shots of 'Mr.India' impress Shekhar Kapur

The 1987 science fiction "Mr.India" is being re-released in 3D format and Shekhar Kapur, director of the original, is impressed with test shots.

"Saw some 3D test shots of 'Mr.India' for release in 3D. They looked amazing," tweeted Kapur.

Apart from being re-rleased in 3D format, the film will have a sequel too.

To be produced by Boney Kapoor, the sequel to "Mr.India" also is to be shot in 3D. Anil Kapoor and Sridevi will reportedly reprise their roles as Arun Verma and Seema Sohni, respectively, and Salman Khan is said to play a negative role in the film.

Amrish Puri played the villain, Mogambo, in the original film.

Pooja Bhatt wants green city!

On the occasion of India's 66th Independence Day, filmmaker Pooja Bhatt says she has planted 12 Banyan trees for a greener city for future generations.

"Planting a dozen Banyan trees today! Might not live to sit in their shade but then that itself is the whole point! Cheers," Pooja tweeted.

Pooja's latest directorial was "Jism 2".
