Nagarjuna’s Bigg Boss Telugu 8 Hits 5.9 Billion Viewing Minutes on Opening Night: ‘Feeling Thrilled’

Actor Nagarjuna has made a grand comeback as the host of the reality show Bigg Boss Telugu 8. The latest season of the popular show premiered on September 1, and Nagarjuna was quick to share impressive statistics from the opening episode on social media.

Nagarjuna took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal some exciting details about the show’s debut. He described the opening episode as ‘groundbreaking’ and shared that the episode achieved a TVR of 18.9. Additionally, he highlighted that the show amassed an astounding 5.9 billion viewing minutes. He posted, “5.9 billion minutes of record-breaking viewing. The power of entertainment. BIGGBOSSTELUGU8 just shattered records of viewing minutes and ratings.” He further expressed his excitement by saying, “Feeling thrilled and honored to witness your love which made Bigg Boss reach incredible new heights! Nagarjuna's return marks his sixth consecutive season as the host. The first two seasons were hosted by Jr NTR and Nani. This season began with 14 contestants entering the house, where they will compete in various tasks to increase the prize pool, which has no upper limit. There are no captains or rations this time, meaning contestants must complete tasks to earn their supplies and have no immunity during voting.

The opening episode featured guest appearances by actors Rana Daggubati, Nivetha Thomas, Nani, Priyanka Mohan, and director Vishwadev Rachakonda. As the first week progresses, eight contestants face the risk of elimination: Vishnupriya, Nainika, Aditya Om, Naga Manikanta, Nikhil, Prithviraj, Shekar Basha, and Kiraak Seetha. Among them, Naga Manikanta, Shekar Basha, and Kiraak Seetha are particularly at risk. The weekend episode will reveal who will continue their journey and who will be evicted from the house.
