Naga Chaitanya's maternal side busts claims of displeasure over engagement with Sobhita Dhulipala; hosts bash

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged on August 8, 2024. The ceremony happened at the residence of Nagarjuna. The Telugu superstar shared beautiful pics with the couple. He also said that he is happy to see his son Naga Chaitanya happy once again. Nagarjuna said he was depressed after his separation from Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The Yashoda actress and he had been together for a decade. They married in 2017 and split in 2021. The exact reasons for the separation are unknown. Sobhita Dhulipala and he met some time in 2022, and their friendship blossomed into love. 

After the engagement, a Redditor wrote that no member of the Daggubati family was following Sobhita Dhulipala on social media. On the other hand, most of them followed Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The fact that Rana Daggubati the first cousin of Naga Chaitanya was not following her came as a huge shock. The speculation was maybe they did not like how Naga Chaitanya left Samantha Ruth Prabhu to marry Sobhita. Fans also discussed how Nagarjuna had left Lakshmi Daggubati after he met Amala Mukherjee on a film’s sets. After his divorce from Daggubati, he married Amala who then quit her film career. 

But it seems like this news is rubbish. The Daggubati family had apparently hosted a high tea function to welcome Sobhita Dhulipala and her folks. It was attended by all members of the Daggubati clan. A source told the media, “The Daggubati-Akkineni clan gathered at the Daggubati residence for a warm high tea, with Suresh Babu, Venkatesh, and their families in attendance. It was a joyful occasion that highlighted the strong bond between the two families.” After her separation from Nagarjuna, Lakshmi Daggubati got married to Sharath Vijayaraghavan. They moved to the US and had children. Naga Chaitanya is close to his half-brothers as well. 

Naga Chaitanya will be seen in Thandel with Sai Pallavi. It is their second movie together. It is based on the story of fishermen who went into Pakistan waters and were arrested. Sobhita Dhulipala was loved for her glam role in The Night Manager that also starred Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor.
