After "GF-BF" and "Dillagi", T-Series has brings up yet another fresh song and accompanying big budget music video. "Tum Ho Toh Lagta Hain", an Amaal Mallik composition, is voiced by the very talented Shaan. The lyrics are penned by Rashmi Singh and Virag Mishra, also known as Rashmi-Virag, who have popular songs like "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" and "Tumhe Apna Banane Ka" under their belt. The video is picturized on Saqib Saleem, last seen in Hawaa Hawaai (2014), and Taapsee Pannu, a popular actress in the South. The music video for this wonderful song is directed by Aleya SenSharma, co-founder of Chrome Pictures Pvt Ltd, a popular TV commercial production house.

The song is a slow romantic number. From the very beginning, it grabs your attention with its soft notes, slow tempo and contemporary music. Amaal Mallik has once again managed to provide us with a melody that is appealing to a mass audience. It won't be a surprise to see this song become a chartbuster! Shaan's vocals are exceptional and give a fresh vibe to the song. The song is breezy, emotional and soft, which is Shaan's forte. His comfort with the sound is evident in the ease he renders the song. The lyrics while lovable, are somewhat mediocre. They are simple and sweet, but not up to the level of some of the other works by Rashmi-Virag. However, overall the song has much potential to win hearts and make the list of the top love ballads of the year.

Aleya SenSharma has narrated a very sweet story through her lens. The story of childhood sweethearts, separating due to some reason and their subsequent reunion is an age old saga that has been narrated for many decades in Bollywood. But SenSharma manages to add her own charm and makes it quite an interesting watch. But the twist in the event is both unexpected and exhilarating. We won't spoil the fun by disclosing anything other than the fact that it makes the video a must watch! Both the actors hold their own and share an easy camaraderie. Saleem is adorable in his artistic avatar and Pannu is quite charming as the girl-next-door. Both make a good pair and their chemistry while not sizzling, is sweet. Shaan is seen strumming his guitar on a cruise, in a well-placed cameo. The picturization is of quaint houses and their backyard woods, as the story appears to be placed in a small town. The focus always remains on the couple and hence the backdrop seems to be deliberately mellow. In short, this is sweet story wrapped in a beautiful melody.

"Tum Ho Toh Lagta Hain" may not have breathtaking locales or heart wrenching lyrics, but the smooth narration, melodious music and talented actors make it a good music video. The song and the video can connect easily with a varied audience as the young leads will appeal to the youngsters, while the bittersweet story would garner the attention of the older generation. This melodious, yet haunting song is a strong contender for our love ballad collection. We, at BollyCurry, rate this music video a 4 stars out of 5, and urge you to check it out at your earliest!
