Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, and Fardeen Khan's Khel Khel Mein Set for OTT Release on October 9

Nearly two months after its release in theatres, Akshay Kumar's film Khel Khel Mein is set to debut on Netflix on October 9. This comedy-drama features a talented cast, including Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film hit the big screens on August 15, 2024, bringing together an impressive ensemble. If you missed it in cinemas, you can catch it on Netflix soon.

According to a recent report from DNA, Khel Khel Mein will start streaming on the popular platform on Wednesday, just two months after its theatrical release. The report mentioned that Netflix confirmed the film's release date through their app. For those who may not know, this movie is the official Hindi adaptation of the 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers. It faced tough competition from Stree 2 and Vedaa at the box office during its release on Independence Day.

Unfortunately, Khel Khel Mein did not perform well and was labeled a flop. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar discussed his film choices. He shared, “People want to watch franchise films, so I am doing them. Whatever people say, we have to try and understand. But at the same time, I will not give up doing different kinds of cinema also. Because sometimes I feel I have to give the audience what I feel they want.” He further elaborated, “I am thinking, my audience would want to have this. I'll give it. Whether I succeed or not; Many times, I have succeeded, many times I have failed. But that doesn't tell me to stop doing it.”

On the professional front, Khiladi Kumar is set to make a cameo in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again and has upcoming projects like Sky Force, Jolly LLB 3, Housefull 5, Welcome To The Jungle, Shankara, and Hera Pheri 3.
