Masaba Gupta won't burden mom Neena Gupta with grandkid's responsibility; shares golden advice

Masaba Gupta and her husband Satyadeep Misra are expecting their first child. The fashion designer and entrepreneur who is the daughter of Neena Gupta and Vivian Richards was raised single-handedly by her mother. While grandparents play a huge role in raising children in most Asian families, Masaba Gupta says she does not wish to burden her mother. In an interview with a leading entertainment channel, she said she intends to be a hands-on parent as she has seen her mom managing alone. Masaba Gupta was quoted as saying, “I will be perfect in some areas, and imperfect in some, but I will be learning every day. Babies are super resilient. I don’t want to put any pressure even on my mother to be around the baby because she has her own life.” This will be Neena Gupta’s first grandkid and we are keen to see her videos with the little one. 

Masaba Gupta said that her mother told her to not stress about becoming a perfect mother. She said a child that is raised well has the potential to touch the skies. It said it does not matter if his home is a footpath or a big mansion. Masaba Gupta added, “So that’s my manual. She always reminds me that children are born on the footpath in this country and they turn out okay. So, I should make the most of the resources I have got and not have this expectation that my child would turn out to be greater.”

We all know how Kareena Kapoor Khan slayed her pregnancy. From stepping out in style to enjoying with friends, she lived it up. Masaba Gupta said gone are the days when a pregnant actress or celeb would keep a low profile. She said, “Even Alia Bhatt promoted a film. It was not a big deal. We make too much of a deal out of it."

This year, Anushka Sharma, Yami Gautam, Varun Dhawan and Deepika Padukone have been blessed with children. Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Misra are expected to share the good news soon.
