Mariam Khan Actor Himanshu Malhotra Bags a Big Bollywood Project

Talented actor Himanshu Malhotra who has a lot of hit shows like Aapki Antara, Love Marriage ya Arrange Marriage and Rab Se Sohna Ishq to name a few was last seen in Star Plus’ popular show Marima Khan-Reporting Live. Well after the show, Himanshu has been busy with his chat show Share and Grow. The latest we learnt is that Himanshu has bagged a big Dharma Productions movie.

Apparently, Himanshu will be seen playing a pivotal role in Dharma Productions upcoming movie Sher Shah. The film is a biopic on Kargil war hero and Param Vir Chakra recipient Vikram Batra who was martyred at the age of 24 fighting at the Kargil war. The film will star Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles and will mark Bollywood debut of actor Vishnu Vardhan known for directing a lot of hit Tamil and Telugu movies.

The shoot of the movie has already started. Earlier the film’s producer Karan Johar announced the confirmation on the news with a tweet.

Captain Vikram Batra of 13 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles had fought in the Kargil War in June 1999 in the Dras sub sector and was instrumental in the capture of Point 5140 on the Tololing Ridge leading to Tiger Hill. He laid down his life during the subsequent operation of Point 4875, bravely rushing forward to rescue Lieutenant Naveen, a subaltern under Batra. On 15 August, 1999, his father received Vikram’s Param Vir Chakra Award posthumously.
