The period saga biopic ''Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'' is bringing the life and entire story of our country's biggest and first ever warrior queen Rani LaxmiBai to silver screens on 25th January 2019 in nationwide theatres. The interesting part about the film is that it will be released in 50 countries.

The film also stars experienced veteran actors like Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, Suresh Oberoi as Bajirao, Danny Denzongpa as Nana Sahib, Jisshu Sengupta as Gangadhar Rao and marks the Bollywood debut of TV actor Ankita Lokhande who would be seen as JhalkariBai the queen's aide and confident in the biopic.
The makers wanted to make the entire movie to look very authentic and real in every way. Hence they did an exploration for nearly two months and finally shortlisted 70 locations across six cities that included Hyderabad, Mumbai, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Bikaner, and Alsesar.
''The team did extensive research that went into the making of this film. Not just that, over 30 sets were built for this historical. Since the war saga is set in 1857, it was crucial for the studio to choose apt locations which not only showcase the larger than life scale but also resemble that era'' said a source from the team.
