Today, on September 12, Malaika Arora was spotted leaving her mom’s place with her and her son Arhaan Khan to attend her late dad Anil Mehta's funeral. In the clip, we see Malaika and Arhaan guiding her towards the car. Arhaan gently embraces his grandmother, Joyce Arora, as they walk towards the waiting car. The duo, mother and son, carefully assist Joyce as she settles inside the car.
In a different video, the actress was captured standing with her son as she emotionally broke down. Showing his love and care, he placed his hand on his mother's shoulder, comforting her in that difficult moment.
Malaika’s former husband Arbaaz Khan with his wife Sshura Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Shibani Dandekar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Kim Sharma, and others were spotted arriving to pay their final respects at Malaika’s father's funeral.
On Wednesday, after Anil Mehta's passing, DCP Crime Branch Raj Tilak Roshan spoke to the media. He disclosed that they are looking into the situation. Initially, it seems to be a case of suicide, as per the initial findings. Importantly, the investigation is ongoing.
Additionally, on Wednesday evening, Malaika Arora posted an official statement on her family's behalf on her Instagram account. It read, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect.”
