Malaika Arora's father’s funeral: Arbaaz Khan-Sshura Khan, Saif-Ali-Khan, Arjun Kapoor others arrive

The showbiz industry was taken aback by the news of Anil Mehta's demise, father of actresses Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora. As the last rituals are in progress, many industry pals have come together to offer their condolences. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and others have joined to pay their respects at the service.

Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora's former husband, came to express his condolences to Anil Mehta accompanied by his current wife, Sshura Khan. 

Additionally, Saif Ali Khan was seen with Karisma Kapoor.

Malaika Arora's pals Sophie Choudry, Orry, Sajid Khan with his sister Farah Khan, Kim Sharma, Guru Randhawa, Mohit Marwah, Arshad Warsi, Shibani Akhtar, and many more were in attendance to offer their condolences.

Furthermore, additional members of the Khan family, including Sohail Khan with his son and Alvira Khan, also arrived to bid their final farewells.

Hours after her father's passing, Malaika Arora released a statement on Instagram expressing the family's deep sorrow. "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock over this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect," the statement reads. 

The Mumbai police have suggested that Anil Mehta, father of actor-model Malaika Arora, seems to have passed away by suicide according to preliminary investigations. The incident is currently being looked into, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.

DCP Crime Branch Raj Tilak Roshan briefed the media that both police and forensic teams are actively participating in the inquiry. The body discovered at Mehta’s residence on the sixth floor is undergoing thorough examination as part of the ongoing investigation. Although the initial evaluation points towards suicide, all potential angles are being meticulously scrutinized as per ANI.

For those unaware, Malaika Arora was away from home when her father passed away. She was in Pune at the time and promptly returned to Mumbai upon receiving the news.
