According to sources, Malaika’s mother, Joyce, informed the police that Anil had a daily habit of sitting on the balcony and reading the newspapers. Though they were divorced, they had started living together again for the past few years. On the day of his passing, Joyce noticed Anil’s slippers in the living room and found him on the balcony. The police, who are investigating the situation, stated, “Anil used to live on the sixth floor. We are carrying out a detailed investigation from all angles… our forensic teams are here for investigation. His body is being sent for postmortem. We are investigating everything… prima facie it looks like suicide, we are conducting further investigation.”
