Regarding the incident, as per Mumbai Police, he leaped from the balcony of his residence in Mumbai's Bandra. The family has not yet issued a statement about this tragic event.

Reports suggest that senior officers from the Mumbai police have hurried to the scene, and more information is anticipated. Authorities are presently probing to ascertain the reason behind the incident.

Sources mentioned that Malaika's mother, Joyce, informed the police that Anil Arora used to sit on the balcony daily, reading newspapers. She stated that despite being divorced, they had been living together again for a few years. Joyce recounted that on Wednesday morning, upon noticing her ex-husband's slippers in the living room, she searched for him on the balcony. Not finding him there, she looked down and saw the building watchman calling for help. Joyce added that Anil Arora was not dealing with any illness; he only had some knee discomfort.

In a video that's circulating widely on social media, a devastated Malaika is shown rushing into the building. She apparently hurried back to Mumbai from Pune upon hearing the tragic news. Malaika's ex-husband, actor-producer Arbaaz Khan, was also spotted outside Anil Arora's residence on Wednesday, conversing with the police officers and assessing the situation. The vicinity around the house has been sealed off with a significant police presence to maintain privacy and order during this delicate period. An ambulance has been positioned outside the building.

Malaika's celebrity pals were spotted visiting the family post the news, with clips of her ex Arjun Kapoor and others circulating on social media. Her ex-husband's family also hurried to support her. Her former in-laws Salim Khan, Salma Khan, along with son Sohail Khan and daughter Alvira Agnihotri, were present at Malaika's parents' residence.

The actress had mentioned previously that she was only 11 when her parents, Joyce Polycarp and Anil Arora, split up. Following the separation, Malaika and her younger sister, Amrita Arora, who was only 6 at the time, were mainly brought up by their mother. Post the split, their mother moved from Thane to Chembur with both daughters.
